“Email marketing is one of the most effective ways to reach your audience, as it allows you to get right into their inbox, and that’s where decisions are made.”
– Neil Patel (Digital Marketing Expert)
A few months ago, while evaluating my business reports, I felt like we were lacking somewhere. I discussed it with my team, and we realized that the problem relied on our customer interaction strategy.
We started researching this matter and found that as many as 95% of marketers believe that email marketing is an outstanding channel for meeting their business goals, and 79% of them ranked email marketing in their top three channels. (Tidio Email marketing statistics)
This motivated us to create mailing lists to bridge this gap between us and our customers. In this article, I will share with you, six ways we used mailing lists that resulted in extraordinary outcomes and helped us achieve even more than we had anticipated.
So, without further ado, let’s get started!
We used AI tools to analyze past customer interactions and segmented customers based on them. This targeting and segmentation helped us showcase highly relevant product suggestions, reminders and offers that they were more likely to buy, increasing our customer engagement and conversion rates.
I wanted this to be perfect, so I decided to buy mailing lists, which helped us reach our goals faster and more proficiently.
DO YOU KNOW?
Email marketing worldwide revenue is predicted to grow from USD 12.33 billion in 2024 to USD 17.9 billion by the end of 2028. .
Imagine you shopped from two stores, one offered you a more personalized experience including services curated just for you, while the other required you to navigate on your own and serve yourself. Where would you like to shop again? Most of us would choose the store offering more customized services. We kept this in mind while working on our marketing strategy.
Sending tailored recommendations and offers to our customers made them feel valued and understood. This sense of familiarity and respect enticed them to stick with us and strengthened our relationship with our customers, resulting in customer loyalty
Who doesn’t like special offers and discounts? It is an effective technique to drive more sales, but we took it up a notch and combined it with targeted promotions. We sent relevant offers to different clients through segmented mailing lists.
For instance, we prepared exclusive discounts for loyal customers and re-engagement offers for inactive clients. This significantly increased our conversion rates and sales.
We utilized this service to advertise our new products and services. During the launch, we crafted emails, consisting of the benefits, features, product demos, and tutorials to spread awareness about the newly launched products among our customers.
Providing exclusive early access to our subscribers, made them feel special, created a sense of exclusivity, and incentivized our sign-up rates.
Mailing lists can not only help you increase sales but also drive traffic to your website. Want to know how?
We adopted this strategy to include direct links to land pages and products we were promoting in the email, this provided a clear call to action to our customers, saved them from the hassle of navigating the website, and encouraged them to make a purchase. Not only this, but we also promoted relevant posts from our blog and enhanced site traffic.
I think everyone would agree that two-way communication bears the most outcome. We were telling our part of the story by sending messages from our end, but we wanted it to be a more engaging experience for both parties. So we started including polls, survey forms, and other similar elements to gather customer feedback and make changes accordingly.
This made the customer feel valued, strengthening our relationship with them, and also helped us understand our customer’s perspective more accurately. The effective changes we made, based on their responses, enhanced our overall operations.
FUN FACT
Over 300 billion emails are sent every day, and for every $1 spent on email marketing, businesses see an average return of $42—proving that the email list is still as powerful as ever!
Mailing lists open an effective communication channel for businesses to connect with their clients and send relevant promotions, offers, and updates. This direct communication medium can help organizations build and maintain connections. In our case, it allowed us to foster engagement and keep our subscribers informed about relevant, news, products, services, and ongoing offers, ultimately leading to improved business performance.
In the end, I can confidently say that an incredible blend of well-crafted email lists, and strategic practices can help businesses perform exceptionally well and deliver excellent sales outcomes.
